The series I began painting in the early months of 2021, when by chance I dropped a glass jar in my studio and it shattered into a thousand pieces.!
I started with small canvases, then as usual the surface area to paint was never enough for me, so I painted larger sized canvases.
I The background colors are solid and bold; the images I create are of fragile everyday objects, caught mid-fall.
I dedicated myself to researching the subjects so dear to the VANITAS genre of painting.
